British Broadcasting Corporation BBC US correspondent, Larry Madowo, will tonight anchor BBC America news for the first time.
Excited Madowo went to his Facebook page to announce the good news to his fans. “I’m anchoring BBC World News America for the first time today,” wrote Madowo.
Before migrating to the United States of America as BBC correspondent Madowo was working as the corporation Africa Business Editor.
Madowo, a Columbian University graduate, has a humble beginning where he was orphaned at 14 years old. Although he grew up in rural Kenya this did not dampen his quest for success. He has made a name for himself.
‘’I grew up with little privilege, my earliest memories are not having the things other kids had. I would go to school and hear the other kids talk about what their dads and their moms did and I didn’t have that.’’ said Madowo on an interview with CNN.
Madowo started his career at Kenya Television Network KTN as a business anchor. He would later move to Ntv Kenya as a news anchor and Technology editor.
