BBC American correspondent, Larry Madowo, has been listed among the most influential Africans.

Larry’s name was even placed on the cover of the New African magazine. This is the second time his name is featuring in the list. In 2019 Larry’s name appeared on the list alongside media personality Adelle Onyango and the world’s best teacher in 2019 Peter Tabichi.
Upon receiving the news the anchor couldn’t hide his joy. “I’m so stoked to be recognized among such great Africans for the second time! Thank you,” he wrote on Facebook.
Larry a former ntv Kenya anchor has been working with the BBC since 2018. He started as BBC Africa Business Editor before taking a one-year sabbatical leave for studies at Columbia University, in New York. After completing his studies Larry did not come back to Africa instead settled in America.
